One Million Kufiya is a socially responsible entrepreneurial initiative by The Kufiya Thread FZ-LLC. Our mission is to preserve the cultural significance of the kufiya, empower communities, and fund impactful projects, such as portable homes for families in Gaza. Learn more on our About Us page.
The project is led by Ala Hilu, a social entrepreneur from Bethlehem, Palestine, with support from friends, volunteers, collaborators, and partners who share the vision of ethical consumerism and social impact.
One Million Kufiya is not a charity—we don’t accept donations or financial contributions. Instead, we operate as a socially responsible business, saving a portion of our profits to make an impact. By purchasing a kufiya, you directly support this initiative.
We believe in creating social impact as part of our rightful responsibility to our community. Rather than collecting donations, we save a portion of our profits to fund the Portable Homes Project. This approach reflects our commitment to sustainable business practices and ethical consumerism.
The Portable Homes Project aims to build or supply shelters for families in Gaza. This initiative is funded through savings from kufiya sales. To learn more about the savings policy and progress, visit our Our Impact page.
While One Million Kufiya does not accept donations, you can send contributions directly to the collaborating organization or charity working on the Portable Homes Project. Details will be provided on our Our Impact page once partnerships are confirmed.
I’m not working entirely alone. Thankfully, I have many friends who share my vision, and we are helping each other to create an impact. However, as an entrepreneur, I manage the company and project independently to maintain focus and sustainability. Yes, all our kufiyas are ethically made, reflecting the rich history and cultural identity of Palestine and Jordan.
We currently offer two iconic styles of standard size (120cm*120cm*)
Black & White Kufiya: A symbol of Palestinian resilience. Weighs 200 Grams
Red & White Kufiya: Celebrating unity and Jordanian heritage. Weighs 230 Grams
To maintain your kufiya’s quality, hand wash it with mild detergent and cold water. Avoid harsh chemicals or machine drying to preserve its texture and colors.
Returns & Refunds
We accept refund requests within 75 days of purchase. Refunds are limited to 75% of the product price and do not include shipping costs. For full details, visit our Refund Policy page.
